The hotel les Dunes in La Tranche sur Mer is a family run establishment that was created by Mister and Misses Brossard in 1964. It all began with the building of a bar, a dining room and 7 rooms.
From 1965 till 1971, 43 additional chambers were built. In 1966, the hotel was classified as a one star tourist hotel, and then as a 2 star tourist hotel in 1982, after the purchase of the car park. At that time the hotel possessed 51 rooms. In 1985, Pierre and Sylvie Boursier (the daughter Mr and Mrs Brossard), both professionals of the hotel industry, became shareholders. In 1987, works were carried out to meet the new standards are realized and the establishment is redeployed was awarded 2 stars in 1989.
